We live for much of the year in Moclinejo; this is a small picturesque White Mountain village (pop. 1000) where we have our home “Los Pajaritos” and adjacent to this, our guest houses, “La Casita Azul” and “Dos Chimeneas”
We offer our guest house ‘La Casita’ and ‘Dos Chimeneas’ for private rental (self-catering) or indeed tutored painting groups (catered). La Casita has three bedrooms and two shower rooms, Dos Chimeneas has one large family bedroom and a shower room.
Thus, we have accommodation for up to eight or nine guests and with these two adjacent houses it is an ideal retreat for an extended family or small group of friends or, for example, an ‘elite’ painting group.
We live in a third house on site. Our three houses were built, many years ago and have been re-formed in part, from an old Moorish castle; we enjoy commanding views over the Benagalbon valley to the Mediterranean Sea, just three miles away as the crow flies.
There is a choice of private patios and a large central court yard containing a totally private pool bordered by our two guest houses and a very welcoming al fresco shaded dining area room. On the top of Casita Azul, there is a large solarium patio with 360 degree views of mountains and sea – from here, Africa can be seen on occasions.
Whilst we have these two houses for our guests, either one or both can be rented depending on the size of your party – and your wallet! Whichever combination you choose, rest assured we only let to one customer at a time, in other words the property with all the outside space and pool will be entirely for your own party for the duration of your stay. Thus, a bunch of friends or just a couple, the choice is yours.
Nestling in hills, 1500 feet above the Mediterranean Sea, the rural village of Moclinejo is just five miles by road from the coast and just a 35-minute drive from Malaga Airport. This is a quiet paradise for painters, writers, walkers etc!
Check out our video below. This was made in the winter and shows our village situation and 58 seconds the drone takes off from the central courtyard and revolves around our little clutch of properties.
